You have to call up the Xbox helpline 0800 587 1102, that's the only way to cancel it

Exactly, that way you end up not wanting to cancel it = More money for them. Give them a ring and cancel it, it should only take 10 minutes (that's how long it took me).

If you go to Xbox.com | Home and sign in and work your way to preferences you can change your renewal there

I wrote this thread because i couldn't change the membership via the website. Only thing i could do is remove or edit my card details.

BTW does this happen everytime i purchase a 3 month membership?

On the website on the membership level part it says Automatic renewal On. You click the on and then Microsfot seem to beg you to keep the renewal on. I just changed mine via the website so it should work. And i thought only the Month to month option has automatic renewal.

I can't click were it says ON, maybe they have changed it or with the 3 month membership you can't change it via the website. Ah well i just update it myself when needed.

I didn't think there was automatic renewal on 3 months

Best bet is to ring them up
