    Default Xbox 360 Moderator Video

Looks like something big happened over the weekend on XBL. We have a video for you to watch now, which shows the actions of an official Xbox Live Moderator, taking action against apparent offenders.

In the video, you’ll see the mod known as The Pro, take action into his own hands by suspending the account of an Xbox 360 user by the name of LuPo.
Microsoft has already responded to this video and stated that the clip was edited without the inclusion of ‘apparent’ threats being made towards the Mod, resulting in his somewhat ‘unprofessional’ behaviour.

I’ve watched the video myself, and I can see both sides of the story. For one, I’m glad that moderators are taking such a stance towards offenders of the service, but then again – some of his actions seen in the video were taken too far.
Watch the video below, vote in our poll and have your say on the matter. Should the mod be banned for his conduct or not?

Yeah that was a bit harsh, that being said there is corruption in all power positions somewhere really. That being said i wouldn't mock someone who claimed to be a mod.

A lot of people are saying that this is heavily edited, so the moderator could be in the right

Yeah it was edited BUT the Mod did still act like a big pillock. The way he was speaking and threatening them with "banning every console they have ever used" was a bit childish. You would hope that Microsoft had some etiquette code for their mods to adhere to.

I personally think there should be a warning system, for example:

If you are warned for abusive language on XBL, your voice communications are recorded for 2 weeks (you would be warned by MS that this would be happening) and saved so that if there is more reports of abusive language, the XBL team can verify the claims. If they find out that you have been abusive again, your console is banned from XBL for 1 month. During the first 2 weeks you are back after the ban, your voice communications are recorded again so that if any reports are made about abusive language, they can just ban the persons console forever.

Do the same for glitchers except record gameplay after a warning.

To my knowledge that only applies, if the person you are recording is not aware that you are recording them. Under what I mentioned, the person would be informed so that they knew they were being monitored due to previous behaviour on XBL.
