The Ghost Recon series is shifting from advanced warfighters to future soldiers.Ubisoft has revealed a new chapter in the series, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, will arrive in late 2010.
A press release from Ubisoft cites Xbox 360 as the only platform, but a post on the publisher's Twitter feed later confirmed Future Soldier will also debut on PC and PlayStation 3. The game is being developed by the same team behind the Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter series.
Ubisoft says the game will feature "cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes."
Xbox 360 owners can get an early taste for the game's multiplayer mode this summer. Consumers who purchase a copy of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction will receive an exclusive invitation to Future Soldier's multiplayer beta.
