A few Academy Award nominee voices will be heard throughout the land of Skyrim when it releases on November 11th. Today, Bethesda unveiled the names for the main cast and supporting cast. You may recognize a few of the names, which we have listed below.
Christopher Plummer will be providing his voice for the character Arngeir, “a powerful Greybeard elder.” Plummer’s most notable role is Captain von Trapp from The Sound of Music, and he also recently lent his voice to 2009’s Up.
Also appearing will be Max Von Sydow, who stars as Esbern, “a chronicler and agent of the Blades who has survived in hiding.” He has been acting in film since 1949 and he’s done video game voice work too on Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
Joan Allen, a 3-time Academy Award nominee, will fill the role of Delphine, “one of the last remaining members of the Blades.” Allen’s most noteworthy performances can be seen in the films Nixon and The Crucible.
Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman on television from 1975-79, will be providing her voice for Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, “one of the Nord heroes who overthrew the dragons in ancient times.”
Michael Hogan, of Battlestar Galactica fame, stars as Imperial General Tullius, who is “in charge of crushing the Stormcloak rebellion.” Vladimir Kulich, from The 13th Warrior, plays General Tullius’s sworn enemy Ulfric Stormcloak, a “charismatic leader of the Stormcloaks, who aims to make Skyrim independent of the Empire.” Claudia Christian plays General Tullius’s chief lieutenant, Legate Rikke, “a Nord who firmly believes Skyrim must remain part of the Empire.”
George Coe, Diane Louise Salinger, Renee Victor are also in the cast, although there roles have not been identified as of yet.
