It's no secret that Battlefield 3 is one heck of an ambitious game, so it should come as no surprise to 360 owners that they'll have to do a bit of disc swapping if they plan on picking up DICE's latest shooter.

According to the Japanese blog Hachimaki, the 360 version will come on two separate DVDs while the PS3 version will launch on a single Blu-ray. This information was spotted on a promotional poster which can be seen below:

I've never understood people who complain about swapping discs. It's not like it takes a lot of effort to get up and change the disc.

i dont care as long as the game is amazing.

Swapping discs takes me back to the MGS days.

They explained the disks, The 1st disk has multiplayer, co-op campaign and HD installation content whilst the 2nd disk has the single-player campaign. There is also going to be PDLC (post-launch downloadable content) which will come with the limited edition back to karkand map pack.

May have been misinformed there Mort; Operation Guillotine is a single player mission. They have yet to detail the PLDLC
