If you're looking for yet another version of Street Fighter IV, then Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition is certainly it, but the arcades is exactly where it'll be staying, as Yoshinori Ono confirmed to Weekly Famitsu that there are no plans to bring the Arcade Edition to home consoles.
There's a very good reason for this too, as the characters are deliberately unbalanced to help foster community and competitive spirit, by making characters who are actually stronger than others, which presumably gives the more skilled players a chance at bragging rights by beating a better fighter with a weaker one. Or something like that anyway.
However, what players really want to know is whether the extra characters will be making the leap from the arcades to the console, and sadly, Ono neglected to comment on that particular subject.
Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni are four characters exclusive to Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, and surely offering them as DLC sometime in the near future could be a real no-brainer money spinner for Capcom. Fingers crossed that they see this and offer the four new fighters at some point.
