Just the code supplied in the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm won’t get you in on the Gears of War 3 beta. According to Gears of War executive director Rod Fergusson, you’ll need the disc of the game also.

“You need the disc,” he said. “The Epic Edition code only adds a button on the Bulletstorm main menu.”

So if you’re getting the beta code via Bulletstorm, you’ll be in on the Gears 3 fun early. It also seems as if early comers will get some exclusive content.

The Beta hasn't even got a date yet :/. it could be months from now when no one has the Bulletstorm disk.

Apparently it's in April, so not too far off

To be honest, everyone knows what its going to be like already. The gameplay will be pretty much the same, few new mechanics. So I wont be buying it just for the beta. I just hope the guns wont deal a random amount of damage and they remove host advantage.
