According to some anonymous insider sources, Gear of War for Kinect is apparently very much on the cards and will be bringing a dose of its hardcore, gloriously violent shooter action to Microsoft's motion-controller.

Said sources who have claimed to be familiar with the project, have told Kotaku that the Kinect version of Gears of War will take the form of an on-rails shooter and that a concept demo has been cobbled together with assets and events from Gears of War 2.

How the rest of the game's mechanics will be handled is unclear, but player movement will be kept on-rails if the sources' claims are reliable. Furthermore, whether Epic's recent trademark filing for Gears of War: Exile has anything to do with the project is unknown, but it's a possibility.
