Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka has revealed that Angry Birds is coming to new platforms.

Speaking at the Social Gaming Summit in London, the exec announced that the popular mobile game is to be released for Wii and Xbox 360, PocketGamer reports.

The move will see the game available on all major platforms, having already appeared on the PS3, DS, iPhone and iPad.

Vesterbacka went on to say that there are no plans for a direct sequel to Angry Birds, though a future iteration told from the point of view of the pigs was hinted at. The game's upcoming multiplayer component was likened to "old school Worms games".

A release date for the Wii and Xbox 360 editions of Angry Birds is yet to be confirmed.

So it's a remake of Worms :/. Quite a few attemps have been made and failed lets see how this does.

Angry birds is nothing like Worms :S It's a puzzle game where you fire birds at structures so it'll collapse on those dastardly pigs. Addictive to say the least
