Default Xbox 360 Version of Medal of Honor Beta Delayed Again

The team at Electronic Arts working on the beta stage for the new Medal of Honor has announced that the beta stage for the Xbox 360 home console will be delayed again.

Initially, the publisher said the Microsoft platform, the PlayStation 3 and the PC would be getting an early look at the game at the same time but when the launch date of June 21 rolled around, the Xbox 360 version was delayed, with the team explaining there were technical issues involved. The new delay does not come with a fresh launch date attached.

The development team posted a short update on the official blog for Medal of Honor, which reads, “To the Xbox 360 community, we say thank you for your continued patience. We are working to fix the issues that have caused this delay and, like you, we’re eager to get the game up and running at quality. As soon as we do, you’ll be the first to know. We can’t wait to hear your response to the game – feedback which will also certainly help ensure the game exceeds expectations when we ship this Fall.”

Apparently, the beta period on the Xbox 360 will be extended in order to allow players who have pre-ordered the game to take advantage of it and to offer the feedback that EA Los Angeles and DICE, the development teams, need to make it as good as possible.

Medal of Honor was the first person shooter franchise, which gave Call of Duty a run for its money when it came to bringing World War II back to life but failed to make the move to modernity that the first Modern Warfare managed. Electronic Arts is aiming to take back the shooter crown from Activision and is setting the new title in Afghanistan, with the player taking on the role of a Tier 1 Operator, a Special Forces operative sent on the toughest and most sensitive missions.
