Just as revealed last February, EA has confirmed that The Sims 3 will be coming to consoles. The insanely popular make-believe life simulator will be arriving on DS, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii later this year with never before seen features.

The Sims 3 is currently available on PC, Mac and iPhone. But will it integrate well on the mentioned consoles? EA thinks it will, telling us that both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will have a “seamlessly integrated exchange system.”

The Wii version will even have an exclusive beach town with its own equally unique residents. Players will also have the chance to go head to head for the first time in a new “Life Moments” game to grab rewards.

If you’re a DS Sims fan you’ll be able to use the stylus to draw walls, floors and customise almost everything else with it. We wonder if there will be a Nintendo 3DS version letting us hop into our virtual homes 3D style.

EA has yet to date The Sims 3 on DS, PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii, but we’re sure to hear back soon.
