Cryptic Studios and Atari have been planning to bring heroic, comic book-inspired MMO, Champions Online to Xbox 360 for along time now, but have now decided to do away with a console version of the game altogether.
Towards the tail-end of its development cycle, Cryptic had announced that a 360 version would follow mere months after the PC release, which was September 2009. So, after more than six months of wondering whether we'd ever see Champions Online swooping onto 360, Cryptic COO Jack Emmert has finally confirmed that there are now no longer plans for a console iteration.
Writing on the Champions Online forums, Emmert stated, "100% of our focus is on making the current PC product the best it can be. There are no current plans for a console version of Champions Online."
Marketing and community manager Ivan Sulic echoed Emmert's statement to IGN saying, "We'd love to make console versions of all our games – every developer would like to see its games on as many platforms as possible – but we're focusing on expanding and improving Champs on PC because our fans are important to us."
I was so hoping this would come to 360, i got this on PC already but i love it so much i want it on 360
