Damn straight there's going to be a Gears of War 3. Recently confirmed on Edge Online it will see the light of day in April 2011. Personally I cannot wait. Also a teaser shall be released on April the 8th.

I can only ponder the amount of seemingly deliberate glitches Gears 3 will have.

They probably think that giving certain players a gun that shoots no bullets at the start of the game wasn't fun enough for them, instead they are going to make it so that certain players can't do anything this time round and can sit there and watch while there team gets massacred.

Upon saying this though, I will be purchasing the game in hope that the developers will realise that the unreal engine is a heap of crap or they manage to work with it this time.

As far as I'm concerned Gears 2 was not nearly ready for release when it came out and and there are still to many major bugs to call it a finished game.

Hopefully Gears 3 will be different.

The story mode better be longer as gears 2 was quite short and as ash said the glitches in 2 is making me wonder if i should spend another 40 quid on gears 3 :/. ( ah well, dont see why i shouldnt get it)
