Usually Microsoft encourage the companies to increase the price of DLC. Bungie wanted the map packs for Halo 3 to be free, but Microsoft wouldn't let them.

Same with the L4D1 map pack.
I would rather go back to playing CoD4 then buy the new map pack for CoD6.

Yeah I downloaded it on XBL last night and the maps didn't look that impressive to be honest. As you said, it will be a campers paradise.
