    Default Advice please?!

    Hi,

My son's Xbox Arcade DVD has finally packed in judging from other threads. (It's over 4 yrs old and won't read any discs at all). He's only just turned 9 and doesn't go on Xbox Live at the moment. We've just got him the Kinect for his birthday last month and have already got the "big" Christmas gift, so I am a bit annoyed that I've got to replace this now tbh because I feel like it is spoiling - although he doesn't ask for much!

I need some experienced opinions about whether to get him the 4Gb or 250Gb model. I am in two minds because of the memory the Kinect took up when we updated the box and whether the box will last long enough for him to use it on Xbox Live as he gets older. His Dad plays it alone rarely but still doesn't go on Xbox Live and tends to stick to Call of Duty and Saints Row type games - a serious gamer he is not! My son uses it for games such as GTA and Football/F1 games as well as the Kinect (just Adventures at the moment). He also uses it for DVDs.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forums.

Buying a 4gb will be fine and when he progresses onto Xbox Live, if he runs out of space (due to DLC etc.) you can just buy a 250gb hard drive upgrade. They just slot into the Xbox 360 4gb to upgrade the memory from 4gb to 250gb. It works out roughly the same to buy a 4gb Xbox 360 and the 250gb HDD, as it does to buy a 250gb Xbox 360.

    Regards,

    Ross

    You're welcome

DLC is Downloadable Content. It is additional content that extends games.
