    Hi,

The 4gb of memory is internal flash memory, so it will still be there when you install the new hard drive, so you shouldn't lose anything.

To format the new hard drive, you need to:-

    1. Start your Xbox 360 console.
    2. On your console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
    3. Select Memory.
    4. Highlight the storage device that you want to format, and then press the Y button on your controller.
    5. Select Format.
    6. You receive the following message: This will delete all content on this device. Do you want to continue?

Choose Yes to format the storage device.
    7. If you are asked to enter your console serial

    Cheers,

    Ross
