Default Xbox 360 Slow Wireless (Lag)

    hi all,
just moved house and reconnected wirelessly my 360 up to my belkin router. my 360 is now really slow. battlefield 1943 suffers from latency (lagging) and and the blades are often slow to load. tried to download super meatboy and its really slow. i used the same set up in my old house with no problems so what gives? my laptop connects ok to the router so no problems there. ive just odered an ethernet cable to check wether its a wireless adapter issue. if this doesnt work i not sure where to go next, any sugggestions

ps could this be a hardware problem?

    cheers, pn

    Hi,

It's a wireless channel issue. If someone in the area is on the same wireless channel as you, it will cause issues for you.Try logging into your router (192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 depending on your router make) and then change the wireless channel, starting with 1 and working your way up to 13. Once you have selected a channel, test your Xbox to see if it is running any quicker. If it isn't any quicker, then change to the next channel up.

You can see what channel others in your area are using by using inSSIDer.

I can guarantee you that this is not a hardware issue, it's definitely just a wireless channel issue from what you have described.

Let us know how you get on.

    Cheers,

    Ross
