Default MW3 Screen keeps jumping and flickering

I have been playing mw3 for some time with no problems but now my screen keeps jumoing and it is getting on my nerves. I have not changed anything just started happening one day. Have tried resetting the router cleared the cache switched it off made sure there is nothing in the way of the wireless aerial all to no avail. Please can some one help. I have searched for this on google and there seem to be alot of people with the same problem but no one with an answer. All help appreciated

    thanks

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    Welcome to the forums.

From what you've described, it sounds like your just lagging badly. When you go to the Multiplayer Menu, what does it say your NAT is (Should say Open, Moderate or Strict)? Also could you try and connect in to a few games of Team Deathmatch and tell what the ping is of the matches you enter (when you are searching for a game, it should say in the top right hand corner).

    Thanks for the welcome

My NAT type is strict, I have tried to change it according to the instructions on infinity ward website and it still remains at strict. I am still in the process of trying to change that if i can. I have tried to dig the wireless router out the cupboard to give it the best chance of getting a signal. Still to no avail. It was fine before so i cant see why it should all of a sudden start playing up.

I tried joining a game and i assume you mean the ping reading whilst in the game lobby if so it was reading <50ms. I am not sure if that is good or bad as i am not very IT minded. i am beginning to run out of options now but really need to sort it out as i keep getting shot whilst my screen is jumping about.

It sounds like the issue is caused by your NAT status. What is the brand and model number of your router? I can talk you through getting your NAT to open with port forwarding and this should fix your lagging issue.

Also if your wireless connection is not brilliant, I highly recommend getting some powerline adaptors http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-P...mp;sr=8-1(even if you have a great wireless connection, these will wipe the floor with it). It basically uses your homes electrical wiring as a massive network cable and then you plug one in next to your Xbox and one next to your router and plug an ethernet cable from each plug into each.

I have just googled changing my NAT type and a video on you tube which said to try testing your xbox connection and hey presto it opened up my NAT type to open. I was just wandering if there are some settings i can change so i dont have to do that every time i turn it on as it is a bit of a faff?
