I came across this on Facebook and thought it was worth sharing. The image below (click for full size) shows face models from all races as they looked in 2002's Morrowind, 2006's Oblivion, and as they will look in the imminent Skyrim.

It makes me almost ashamed to think I was stunned by Oblivion's graphics when I first played it. Looking back, some of the faces did look like they were moulded from plasticine by a toddler. :p Credit where credit's due, however: when compared to its contemporaries, it's clear to see that Oblivion was a big step forward for game art, and it looks like Skyrim is going to push those boundaries once more. I reckon it's going to look pretty damn sweet on a 42-inch plasma hooked up to the 360 with an HDMI cable.
